Chapter 11

Saben fell off with a scream. He punched blindly at the attacker.

The zombie scratched at him and snapped a rotting mouth at him. A nail went through its head and could be seen.

Saben's eyes were wide. He drew a shaky breath and pushed the zombie off of him, sitting up.

Crimson stared, her mouth gaped. She wasn't looking at Saben though. She was looking at another boy, who was riding a sweet bike. It hadn't been her bat's nails that was dug into the zombie's head. It was the boy's. A nail gun was in his hand.

Saben expected to see Crimson. He gave a quizzical look to the boy. "T-thank you." he said, sitting up.

"Yeah, whatever." he said simply, turning around to Crimson. "And who would you be?" he said with a smile. Saben's eye twitched.

Crimson paid no attention. She went over to the bike and looked at it. "Is this a 2011 Kawasaki KLR650?" she asked excitedly.

The boy rubbed the back of his head. "Yes..." he said. "I think..." he muttered to himself. "What's your name?" he asked, walking up to her.

"5-speed, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, single engine." Crimson squealed. She stood up, her face inches from him. "Where did you get this!"

"It was... Given to me." he replied, giving off a smile as she looked up. "Now, may I ask what your name is?"

Crimson blushed. "Oh! I'm sorry. It's Crimson Arella Salem."

"That's a lovely name." he complimented. "I'm Damien Ashton." he said, leaving out his last name.

Saben sat on the ground, watching the conversation. He muttered something unclear and stood up, brushing the dirt off of his jacket.

Crimson smiled. "Nice name." She had forgotten all about Saben.

Damien smiled. "Would you like a ride?" he said, motioning towards the bike.

"Of course!" Crimson exclaimed.

Damien smiled. "Jump right on." he said.

Saben had a rage built inside but he let it go and walked up. "Hey..." he said, looking at them both.

Crimson looked at Saben. "Oh... That's right. I'm sorry Damien. I can't."

"Why not?" Damien asked, casting a sly glance at Saben before looking back at her with sad eyes.

Crimson kicked at the ground with her shoe. "Saben and I have to go somewhere." she got an idea. "Maybe you should come with us."

Damien smiled. "That'd be wonderful!" he said. Inside his stomach churned at the idea of living with this Saben.

Saben smiled nervously. "Yeah..." he said. Inside his stomach churned at the idea of living with this Damien.

Crimson clapped her hands together. "Great! Damien! You should ride with Saben back. I want to try out your bike."

Damien smiled. "Alright. Come on Saben." he said, mispronouncing his name.

Saben nodded. "Er, it's Saben. With a soft A. And... Alright." he said. They both looked away from each other and gave a look of disgust. Damien jumped on Crimson's bike and Saben jumped on with him. "Whatever. Alright, Saben, where are we going?" he asked, mispronouncing it once again.

"I'll lead." Crimson said. She took off her heavy jacket and the pants she was wearing to reveal a red dress and knee high black panty hose. She stuck the clothing into her saddle bag and put on her helmet. "Just follow." she told him. She jumped on the bike and started it. The bike purred back at her which made her heart leap. The bike started moving and her dress blew in the wind, revealing a pleasant sight for the guys.

Damien saw this and smiled ear to ear, starting the bike. "Fun..." he said to himself as the bike took motion.

Saben blushed and his eyes widened. "Crimson?" he tried to warn. Damien elbowed him hard. "Oh, sorry Saben." he said, once again mispronouncing it.

Crimson was too busy to notice. The bike wasn't as loud as her own and it gave her a high to ride it. Her dress lifted higher when she went over a bump but slowly drifted back down, as if in slow motion.

Saben glared at Damien as he followed. They were almost there... But no. Damien had to come along.
