Chapter 4

Saben slashed at it with his crowbar, ripping the arm out of the zombie's socket. He slashed at it again and ripping into its brain. He sighed. It had been a long day. At least he wasn't alone anymore. He looked at Crimson's wound. "Are you okay?"

Crimson winced under her helmet. "Yeah." She told him. They rid into the town of Livingston and Crimson watched out for another complex. After a few minutes she found one and parked the bike into some trees behind it. She unstrapped the saddle bag and held onto it. She hadn't eaten for a while and her stomach was roaring at her. She kept her helmet on, not wanting another incident like last night. She started walking, expecting Saben to follow.

Saben followed, leaving the helmet on a handlebar. He gripped his crowbar tightly, looking around for zombies warily.

When they got to the complex Crimson scouted the hallways. A few stray zombies were there but nothing too major. She wondered where they all were as she killed off the loners. /she climbed the stairs and found a huge zombie crowd. Found them. she thought, and without waiting for Saben, she started fighting.

Saben froze as Crimson threw herself at the zombies. After a moment of hesitation he joined in, hacking at them. He felt claws rake his back. He slashed at the zombie behind him, then stabbed at another. The zombie crows began to shirnk.

Crimson felt them hitting at her head. She smiled. "Good thing for helmets." She spun and hit the zombies behind her. Heads flew and soon the zombies were all dead. Crimson looked at her bleeding arm. More scratches accumulated but they were not as deep as the one. She walked into a room and began searching for a medical kit.

Saben followed her nervously. He had a big grin on his face. He looked around, trying to search for the kit.

Crimson found it under the sink in the bathroom. She opened it and started to clean the scratches. When she finished she handed it to Saben. "Just in case. Throw it in the bag." she told him. She then started barricading the door for the night.

He nodded and stuck the kit in the bag. He looked up at her as she barricaded the doors. Saben got up to help, starting to push a large chair with an occasional small grunt. He wasn't very strong.

Crimson sighed. Once the door was barricaded she got out the food. She sighed and grabbed a small bag of Cheetos and a water bottle.

He nervously grabbed a bag of chips. "I wish gas stations had something better than this..." he said, holding up a bag of chips.

"Next time we'll find a small grocery store or a truck stop." She promised. She then began to unhook the straps to her helmet.

He nodded and stopped when he saw her begin to take off the helmet. He watched curiously, wanting to know who this person was.

IC: She pulled off the helmet and shook out her silver hair. She grabbed a brush from her leather jacket's pocket and brushed out the tangles and helmet hair. She then put the brush back and pulled out a black lacey headband and put it on.
