Chapter 7

Crimson shook her head and let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm going to go look around. Keep her company." she ordered Saben.

Saben nodded and looked to Koralie. "So..." he began.

Koralie looked at him. "Why do you let her boss you around?" she asked softly.

"Because I'd be dead if I were making the decisions." he responded cheerily.

"Yeah but... she seems mean. I mean. I'd get tired of her yelling all the time." Koralie said.

"I don't really think so. She's pretty nice once you get to know her." he commented quietly.

Koralie nodded. "I see." she looked around softly. "You know. Most of the people here were old."

"Really?" he asked. "That must have been awkward." he added.

She shrugged. "I'm just saying. They really couldn't defend themselves. And if I'd waited for them to get in the closet with me I'd probably be dead."

He sighed. "Yeah..." he found himself staring to where Crimson went. He looked back at Koralie. "So, I'm guessing there's a lot of supplies here."

She nodded. "Tons." she answered. "A lot of room too. But I guess most people didn't survive the first attack of zombies."

Saben nodded with a sigh. "Well, more for us." he said with a smile, trying to relieve the gloom that came with the place. He looked up to find small trails of blood on the ceiling.
"How the hell...?"

Koralie looked up with him. "Um... What?" There was a crash near where Crimson had run off to.

Saben's attention turned towards that. He grabbed his crowbar and ran towards the crash. The skateboard was still tied to his back.

Crimson was batting at a zombie. Literally. It was on the ceiling. "WHAT THE FUCK!" she screamed. "What is this thing? SPIDERMAN!?"

Saben rushed up and started to slash at it with her. "Maybe it was, until his ass was zombified." he said through gritted teeth.

"These zombies are getting on my nerves." She finally swatted him down and drove a nail through his skull.

Koralie watched from afar.

Saben watched the zombie flop to the ground. "Maybe we should stay with you..." he suggested.

Crimson whirled around. "Why? So I can be there to save your ass?" she snapped.

Koralie's eyes widened.

Saben flinched. "I-I just wanted to be there in case you needed help..."

Crimson's eyes softened. "I'm sorry... but I just... Maybe I should leave..."

"Leave? Don't leave." he assured her.

"No no." Crimson replied to him. "This place... Is way to depressing for me. It isn't even that safe."

"B-but..." he looked around. "We could make it safe." he began.

Crimson shook her head. "With what? A little pussy girl that only thinks of herself? We don't have things that could make this place even remotely safe. We are better off on our own."
