Saben's heart fell. He felt his eyes widen with sadness. She did have the virus after all.

Crimson glared at him. "See? Now you know. And now you don't even want me here." She started her bike back up. "Now open the door." she commanded.

Saben stood in front of the door. His head was bowed.

"I can't do that..." Saben responded. "My opinion of you hasn't changed."

Crimson threw up her hands in anger. "I have to leave." she said.

Crimson grabbed her bat and got off her bike.

Saben held his ground, staring at Crimson with warm eyes. It looked like this was his final defense.

Crimson stared back at him. "I don't want to hurt you Saben." she said.

"Maybe there's a way to cure it." he said. "Surely there's something for it."

Crimson shook her head. "No. There's nothing. And it won't take me long to turn. You either let me go or kill me." Crimson said.

"Because it will take forever to search for a cure. I will already be turned by then. You only have two options." Crimson stated.

"We could risk it and search for a cure." he replied. "How do you know it will take forever?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" he finally snapped. "I just don't want to lose you to the virus..." he said more quietly, leaning up against the wall and bowing his head.

"Lose me? Why me? Why am I so important?!" Crimson questioned. "I'm just one person. You still have Koralie when I'm gone so you won't be alone."
