Chapter 9

"Because?" Crimson pressed.

"Because I-" he cut himself off. "Why does it matter to you?" he asked.

Crimson shook her head. "I have no reason to be here. Move."

"No." he responded defiantly.

Crimson slapped him. "Move!"

A red mark quickly grew on his face. "No." he replied still.

Crimson pushed him out of the way. The door opened to reveal no zombies. "What?" she said aloud.

Saben stumbled and fell to the ground. He followed her gaze. "Huh...?"

Crimson shook her head and grabbed her bike. She rolled it outside. "Goodbye." she replied.

Saben stumbled to his feet and jumped on the bike. "Hello.~"

"Get off my bike." Crimson said.

"No~can~do." he replied.

Crimson pushed him off. "I'm sorry but you can't come with me." she said. She hopped on her bike and raced away.

Saben watched her drive off. He sighed and sat up, not paying attention to his bloody elbows.

Koralie walked out of the place. "I told you." she said. "I don't understand why she left though."

Saben sighed again, deciding not to tell Koralie about Crimson's infection. "Yeah..."

"Anyway. I guess I should tell you there is a vaccination for people who have yet to turn." she said.

Saben looked up with a wide grin. "Really?" he asked.

"Yeah. But it only works if you are not a zombie yet." she informed him.

"Is there any here here?" he asked hopefully.

Koralie nodded. "Why do you think I know about it?"

Saben stood up. "This is great. Can you show me where it is?"

Koralie smiled wickedly, "For a price."

His smile dropped. "I think I know what this price is..."

Koralie smiled. "C'mon."
