Chapter 10

Saben opened the car door and stepped out. He gripped his crowbar tightly and walked towards the concrete stairs.

Crimson saw them walked toward the stairs to the door. "SHIT!" she cursed. She ran and shut the door, pressing her body against it.

Koralie skipped after Saben.

Saben walked up, finding something blocking the door. He could have swore that the barricade had broken down. He took out his crowbar and set it against the door knob.

Crimson felt someone trying to open the door. She acted like a zombie.

"Are you sure about this?" Koralie whispered.

"I'm sure." he said. He broke the lock inside and pried at the door.

Crimson pressed harder.

Koralie sighed. "Alright...."

He pried with all of his strength. The blockade seemed to be lighter than furniture. Zombie? he asked himself. He kept pulling at the door.

Crimson groaned. "Go away!" she growled in a deep voice.

Saben's suspicions were comfirmed. He brought his crowbar back and hacked at the door, breaking through one of the panels and coming out the other side of the door.

Crimson moved away from the door. She remembered the window. "Come one more step and I'll jump!"

The voice was pain stakingly familiar. Saben took the crowbar out and looked through the hole in the door.

"SABEN! Stop following me!" Crimson glared.

"But... I found the antidote..." he said. "I didn't even know you were here."

Crimson's ears pricked. "Are you lying to me?" she asked softly.

"Of course not!" he said, digging into his pockets and pulling out the vial.

Crimson looked at it. "How do you know it works?"

"I don't." he admitted. "But it's all you've got." he replied darkly.

"How did you find it?" Crimson asked.

"Koralie told me about it..." he said, leaving out the price he had to play.

Koralie opened the door and pushed her way in. "Hi!~" she smiled. "We had sex!"

Saben's eye twitched. "That's the price I had to pay. So I'm pretty sure it's legit." he responded. "If not I will be pissed." he said more quietly.

Crimson glared at both of them. She took the vial from Saben but whispered. "Don't act like you didn't like it. I bet you did." she responded before drinking the liquid.

"What makes you think that?" he asked. He let out a sigh of relief as she drank the liquid.

"Look at her." Crimson mumbled.

Saben looked at Koralie. "What?"
